Local Development Finance Authority
Created by Resolution #89-33 – June 19, 1989
4 Year Term-Meets the second Monday of the month at 4 pm at City Hall. The meetings are open to the public.
The Local Development Finance Authority provides infrastructure and development of industrial districts. The Local Development Finance Authority completed reconstruction of Aylworth Avenue and is preparing for expansion of the I-196 Business Park, on Phoenix Street behind the Wal-Mart complex. The membership of the Local Development Finance Authority is the
same as the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority.
Purpose as Defined In Enabling Statute/Ordinance/Resolution
The mission of the LDFA is to encourage local development, prevent & eliminate conditions of unemployment, underemployment and joblessness and to promote economic growth in defined areas of the City of South Haven.
